Cambodian Outreach
Action Plan Participant:
Family Service Association of Greater Fall River

The Cambodian Outreach component of the Mental Health/Substance Abuse Clinic engages, encourages, educates and assists individuals and families in the Cambodian community facing addiction through education in self-help. The program is offered by the Family Service Association.

Priority Sub-Area:   

1, B) A drug-free community, including enforcement of  tobacco regulations

Goal:

To help build a team of Cambodians able to use a model of self-help to begin to address the growing issue of substance abuse in their families and the community

Method(s):

A Master's level Cambodian, Khmer-speaking clinician will engage and educate individuals and families through self-help using weekly meetings.
