Citywide Sports and Recreation Programs |

Programs including six Little Leagues, five baseball leagues, four softball leagues, and four soccer and football leagues involve youth and adults in instructional and competitive programs that instill the benefits of teamwork, fair play, and physical exercise. The Board of Park Commissioners, under the leadership of the Director of Parks and Recreation, oversees the scheduling of programs for all athletic leagues in city parks. |

Progress: | The Fall River Board of Park Commissioners and Mayor Lambert announced the enhancement of Kennedy Park and North Park through the award of grants from Urban Self Help and Massachusetts Historical Society. They also have reported an ongoing expansion of the Youth Little League and a significant expansion of the new adult baseball league from four to 10 teams. | |

Advocate for funding for parks; help form and new leagues and get children and adults involved. |
