Recreational Supports for Aging and Medically
Fragile Adults with Developmental Disabilities |
||
Fifteen to twenty adults with limited access to recreation because of advancing age or physical disabilities will be provided with one-to-one staff support and transportation so they can participate on late afternoons, evenings and weekends when alternate transportation is not available. People, Inc. operates the only program serving the Greater Fall River area that provides inclusive opportunities in the evenings and weekends to adults with developmental challenges. Funded in large part by the United Way of Greater Fall River, the program also is funded by the Department of Mental Retardation, consumer fees and grants. |
