BOARDWALK

The Taunton River Boardwalk (Waterfront Access Walkway) extends for nearly a mile from Heritage State Park to Bicentennial Park. Spectacular views of the river are afforded all along the route.

Altogether, a one-way walk from the southern side of the Heritage State Park Visitors' Center to the Iwo Jima Memorial at Bicentennial Park runs 1.12 miles (169 calories for a 200 pound person. A round-trip walk is 2.24 miles (338 calories for a 200 pound person). Parking lots are available at the north end of Heritage State Park off of Davol Street and at Bicentennial Park at the western end of President Ave.

Starting in the summer of 2010, a Fall River Walks bulletin board will be located in the Heritage State Park Visitors' Center. Walkers can record their walks, meet other walkers and get information about other walking locations throughout the city.
