BCC CORE Strategies
Action Plan Participant:
Bristol Community College CORE Strategies

CORE is an innovative project collaborative between Bristol Community College and Stanley Street Treatment and Resources located in the Commonwealth College Center at the BCC Fall River Campus. CORE assists students in addressing substance use issues, as well as providing education to students and faculty.

 

Priority Area:  Safety and Substance Abuse
Priority Sub-Area:   

1, B) A drug-free community, including enforcement of  tobacco regulations

Goal:

CORE seeks to decrease harmful use of alcohol, illegal drugs, and other substances among BCC college students. CORE's goal is to inspire students to make healthy decisions regarding their life choices. CORE creates a foundation for college students that will help them meet their educational and life goals.

Three year grant, 2005-2008, funded through SAMHSA CSAT

Indicators:       

Changes in student behavior

Progress: Grant successfully completed and elements of the program integrated into health services
