Healthy City Video
Action Plan Participant:
Fall River Educational Television (FRED-TV)

 A full-length dramatic video is being produced entirely with students from Fall River Educational Television (FRED-TV) located at B.M.C. Durfee High School. Attitudes about eating and exercise, dealing with the addictive properties of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs and avoiding teenage pregnancy are among the topics with which the video deals. The finished production will be used with area youth health education.

Goal:

To raise awareness the long-term consequences of adolescent health attitudes and patterns

Method(s):

Production of a 20-30 minute dramatic video by students

August 2006 through March 2007

Participation in future trainings

Progress: Production of "Bus Stop" 20 minute video successfully completed and now available on DVD

By providing food, props and other items for the production
